This is exactly what I've been talking about for half a year. As you can clearly see, user@leon REFUSES to accept that 100% correct answer no matter how much info I provide to confirm it, even though I've reminded him countless times before over the past 5 months to do so. His profile says that he accepted multiple answers just 2 days ago, so clearly this guy is ignoring me on purpose. What can be done about this type of user?

I don't understand your response to@KeyMasterOfGozer , in particular your instructions as it pertains to his example:

ntp.so/ 3ISY6PE9GWVN6

Yes all these old /buff/ images are going to be deleted and replaced with new converted files in a new location. So if you have such image URL, cut out the SURL part which is 3ISY6PE9GWVN6. Now add ntp.so in front of it or full site domain, hit enter and it will redirect. Then right click on the image and get the new URL.

A question I asked a month ago, which was not answered, seems to be related:

I've been seeing a lot of these messages recently -- Auto.msg.: Auto.msg.: ntp.so/8ZF52I4OKTDQE - dead link - dead link -- in questions I've answered with a previously answered reference link:

Where can I find this video? What's the name of this porn star?

I hope I don't have to update every reference link I've used in pending answers!

Let it be noted that answering your own questions is from now on OK. If you answer your own question, then you will get no points for it.

This means, if you have pending questions that you obsess about and you figure out the answer before anyone else, then by all means you can answer it.

This also means, that lower levels trying to be smart about it, cant really win anything by answering their own questions. Still, if they are spamming (links or any other nonsense) -- such content should be reported.

Let it be noted, that NTP supports webp format now as well. And image reverse search is not yet updated to support it. You must make sure that the URL doesn't end with .webp but with .jpg. You can just replace it, there are two versions of the file:
static.namethatporn.com/media/displays/2016/03/15/3ISY6PE9GWVN6_whats-the-name-of-this-porn-actor.webp
static.namethatporn.com/media/displays/2016/03/15/3ISY6PE9GWVN6_whats-the-name-of-this-porn-actor.jpg

Please send user account related problems to us using the contact form or email. This is in case the user is not doing anything wrong. User account related stuff needs to be handled with care.

@L1bru5 as I explained before, older posts will be community reviewed.

@Operator

I'm having trouble with with the display images from posts. If I try to use the image url for reverse image searches, either the local one or on other reverse lookup sites, I get errors as if the image doesn't exist.

This is the error I get on this Site's Reverse Image Search:

MILD WARNING #2
getimagesize(http://namethatporn.com/buff/displays/3ISY6PE9GWVN6_whats-the-name-of-this-
porn-actor.jpg):
failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found
/home/namethat/supercore/classes_search.php:120

On Google, I get this error:
The URL doesn't refer to an image, or the image is not publicly accessible.

I need to be able to get to those Images in order to solve the question.

Here is a sample Post, but I think it is happening for all of them:

@Operator - As far as trying to get OPs to accept their posts, what is going to be done for the extremely old posts that were submitted by anons years ago? Been answering those worth 400-900 points... hope those are not going to be discarded.

@WorldsBestPorn there is no given config yet. We will trial and error it and set it up accordingly. Also as of right now there is already limitation on users with pending questions. If an user has more then 100 pending posts with possible answers in them or their accept ratio is below 65%, then they cannot post any further questions.

As I said, the OP accept ratio is higher then ever, we just need to get rid of incorrect answers and make the accepting more accessible for OP's. Also, review system will of course rewards with extra points. So users can have multiple roles on the site.. Who only asks, who only answers and ones who review (edit, add tags and etc). This will all happen in this year.
#681955
@Operator

I like this "review pool" idea. How long after an OP is reminded to accept a correct answer before the post would enter the review pool? Because just recently I asked an OP why he hadn't accepted a right answer after 4 months, and his reply was that he "found the video himself a while ago". So...just because he found the video himself, he saw no need to help the community and close that thread? That's the kind of selfishness I see from OP's all the time, so this review pool sounds like a good start. Perhaps we can even get extra points for participating in it? ;)

OP
The OP ip system is in place right now. As you can probably see from my message here.

We are working on the community review system right now and basically everybody who wants to contribute can do their part in it. Either big or small.

But whatever the config will be for now, it will be temporary solution. Moderation needs to be un-biased. Right now it is equally slow to everyone. OP is ultimately the one who needs to accept. Users on site will go stupid with power and start accepting each others answers only. And that is the biggest problem, why we have been careful of giving you guys powers.

My personal hope for the review system is, that it allows us to grind out all crap answers. That it teaches lower levels how to format, gets rid of spam and straight up wrong answers. And OP can accept much easier, as there are confirms that community finds this to be correct. If OP doesn't do it, he will be reminded first, if nothing happens, the answer will go to a review pool and community can accept the best answer. Of course, this is my personal hope and vision. We try to take absolutely every variable under consideration, when doing these systems.
#681792
@dub
you read my mind. also, if you create a queue of things that need to be approved, having tags and a non-matching ip would be prerequisites before being added to the queue.
dub confirms this as correct.
#680845
@Operator You don't need to show the IPs to (regular user) mods if the system just tells them that the answerer's IP is the same of the OP's IP. Some text like "Same as OP" beside the alias (and maybe a tooltip explaining it, without showing the particular IP's) should be sufficient.

@Operator
Thanks for the info. Good to receive some information rather than nothing.

OP
I would have hoped personally to get these concerns to our/my emails before. Since stats wise the natural accept ratio is highest ever. There is no way to keep moderating like we used, we have outgrown it. Changes have to be made. These changes have to be more systematical, to which a thread was created, how many suggestions did we get there..?

Community moderation is the key. But, it holds multiple legal and technical issues. For starters, we are responsible for your privacy and without a legal container, no regular user shall ever see other user(s) IP(s).
But you cannot moderate, without knowing if OP and answerer is the same person for example. Also there is no technical support of user moderation.

We hate the situation as much as you do. We have worked very hard towards ultimate solution to make the service better and more stable. And to prep all subsystems to support user based moderation.

So what we are gonna right now, is that we will start developing the community based moderation system earlier then planned. We will find some of the highest ranking users for BETA testing, which means that moderation will continue slowly (and probably a little glitchy at first).

We are still standing by for all suggestions either to my personal email or general. If you feel like something is bothering you or you feel in the dark, then please email us. We generally respond to all emails, but we cannot always be very much open about what we are developing in this thread.
#680144
@mentiraa As for as I can tell, they have completely stopped moderation, and no one has a clue why. We have been complaining for months that we needed more moderation to counter the fact that most OP's simply do not care to accept correct answers, and what's their solution to that problem? Even less moderation and giving more OP's the ability to accept answers. What can possibility go wrong there, aside from everything? O_O A simple solution would have been to hire more Mods, or at the very least give high ranking users Mod abilities so they can accept answers and keep this site running smoothly. I'm sure guys like@axelcapo would love to be a Mod, because he is on this site most of the time.

Yeah approval has slowed way down in the last 6-8 months. I have lots of answers needing approval as well. That's always been the way that approvals happen in big batches, but it's worse lately.

@Operator
I think@FilaFubu is asking in general how approvals work because s/he has answered lots of questions without them having been approved.
#679268
OP
@FilaFubu This is not the thread where to ask for accepts. Most of your answers are before, low level OP's could even accept or where OP is anon. This is the topic where to talk about general issues that affect everyone.
