How about an overlay for questions with confirmed responses, like with the green for answered questions. Not sure if that would upset the current system but I just think it would be useful when looking through a particular user's responses, rather than clicking on every single one.

If it doesn't work right away, reload being there. That should mark ALL notifications as read.

The thing with notifications is, that setting notification read on viewing post, uses AJAX aka. javascript. Since the load on our site is huge due to traffic, it sometimes miss-fires or takes too much to load. In theory the "Loading.." thingy on top has to go away, then the notification should be removed.

The view all notifications page uses direct update query to mark the notifications read..

However, notification system will be rewritten in near future due to our user database getting overhauled. I actually just figured out, why there is so many problems in the notification system.. Overhaul will fix it.. Sorry for the bug in the mean time, but I do not have easy fix :(

@drmantisman adding filtering to notification system, is actually a very good idea. We will do it for sure. But I can't yet say when.. We are working on expanding our network at the moment, so workload is extreme.

I've found if you go to "My Profile" then "Notifications" and then back to "My Profile" that gets rid of it. It's telling you about new notifications, so once you go there and "read" them, and go to another page, it should go away.

Hello Operator, great site so far.

I am having issues with the constant flashing notification. Even when i check messages, it is still lit up.

Secondly the 'pornstar directory' loads slow and tends to just stop for me. Using Fire.fox atm.

Anyway to add a 'search index' to this option?

Suggestion:

I would love to see some filtering capabilities in the "following" section of the user profile. The ability to filter or see your followed posts that are unanswered only would be helpful.

Also, I use it to keep up with posts, so I have a few pages, some navigation ability to go between pages easily would be helpful as well.

@Bloodwinter Gonna be honest with you, none of our team has ever had to deal with any Macs.
Does your OS support flash player? There was a deal way back, that iOS didn't support flash.. Sadly videos are out of our reach as the players are from providers.

NOTE: Make sure, that you are not HTTPS our site.. There are not many adult sites, that support HTTPS/SSL. And there for those videos won't play.

Notifications are glitched. As we get so many reports of them. I don't have a solution sadly, our server is running so much hardcore stuff at the same time, to cache and buffer.. that some magical stuff do happen.. Lets say we have ghost, who likes to haunt notification systems at the moment.
FIX: Click on the see all notifications and reload being there. It fixes all.

We serve popups under harsh regulation and try our hardest to cover the server expenses and yet not annoy our users. Popups annoy me too, my friend.
FIX: There should not be many popups when you are loggedin. I don't remember the current state.. but we designed it, so the regular users would get as less ads as possible. With bigger level, ads go away.

However, I don't understand what you mean reset the browser? Do you mean restart? Sadly, if you leave our site or you view a video, that container has its own popups from the provider.. We cannot control that.

generally site runs fine lots of pop ups which may just because of all the links, many times i have to reset my browser in order to close some

notification never turns off even if i open all the "new" notifications.

also some times i check in and videos won't play at all just a gray box in its place.

I use a Mac if that matters

@Ktriel You could try to click on the message box, it should clear itself and go away.. Not sure anymore, if the submit container frees itself too.

Submitter is in works, for a long time now.. Hopefully it will new one will be ready soon. It will make things easier and faster :)

@RandyPan for you it should be faster then to myself. Though, what is slow:
- Webpage connecting to the domain?
- Webpage loaded, but the main layout doesn't appear fast enough?
- Or the images on the front page are sort of laggy?

Also the speed depends on the North Americas activity schedule. When the rush hour starts, its slow for everyone.. Theoretically it could go better, if we get DB faster.

Image rendering could be made faster with a shatter network, across the planet.. That will happen in next year probably.

But DNS aka. the domain hooking to the server.. is out of our reach and should be as fast as possible right now.

also a little slow. There's something I really dislike and it's that, when I tried to post a image link on the textbox to publish a question, and I accidently insert a not supported link, the textbox blocks for a few seconds. It's not a big thing, but it's annoying

Also, a little announcement: I will re-structure some databases. Hopefully it will increase performance of the site and prevent future problems.

SUGGESTION: Can you please remove the click to open a text box, and make it just a direct text box with no click necessary. The extra loading is a bit annoying and unnecessary.

If you flag a post or a comment, for right reasons and that post or comment gets removed. You will be awarded for that, with points of course. So start finding posts and comments, that do not fit in this community! :)

NB! Flagging posts with reason like: "stupid answer", "not helpful", "why he got and me not" -- will not get deleted = no reward. Please, do not spam-flag everything.

CONFIRM REWARD PROGRAM
If you confirm something and it gets picked as correct answer. You will be rewarded with points. HOWEVER, do not spam-confirm everything. If the comment is lacking the critical aspect of the question, does not have the correct format or is general not the correct answer -- we will monitor that, and if your confirms are incorrect..no rewards..ever. Please do not confirm, if you are not sure if the answer is correct!

ALGORITHMS TO DETECT CONFIRMED CORRECT ANSWERS
We have built a special feature, that will analyse alot of parameters, to detect if confirmed answers are actually correct. And could automatically mark the answer as correct, if the minimal criteria is matched. I wont go into details, what the criteria are.. But just confirm, if you are sure, the answer is correct and worthy to be the correct answer.

SOFTWARE PERFORMANCE UPGRADE
I have spent alot of hours to improve the speed of this site. Our databases and core-code got optimised, so hopefully you can feel the 0.3 second decrease in server response speed :)

I hope, that these updates will help to get the solve ratio higher and clear our community from unwanted materials.

I realized one thing, confirming won't mark your answer as ANSWERED. Then what or who marks it as answered?
