@psycho1899 When you create a new post from an image on your computer, before you submit your question, the instructions say in caps, "WE DO NOT ALLOW SCREENSHOTS MADE WITH PHONES!"

Appears that it's not a hard rule, but just something that a lot of people use as quality control. I've seen mods trash posts for being screenshots, so it's definitely legit according to at least some of the mods

I've seen on multiple posts (and made an ass out of myself on one :/ ) where the post is clearly a screenshot and a hidden user comments saying, "Screenshots aren't allowed." Now, I could've sworn I saw something somewhere at some point that said exactly that, but the Help page doesn't mention anything about it. Plus, an@Operator asked what I was talking about. So, did I just make that up? And whoever is commenting that, please stop or at least point out where you got that idea.

I was aware of the 'tinies' / 'thumbs' / 'displays', but wasn't aware of the various sites you listed, which I'm sure, there are many more.
It's a pity, as a lot of posts will go unanswered because of this.

@fairlyghost Thanks... although I don't use that browser. Good to know.

I think there is a current issue with thumbnails being saved. With www.nuvid.com redirecting a user if the original video is deleted, which could in turn allow us to answer the wrong question, that is unless the 'source' is checked before answering.

In Chrome: View > Developer > Developer Tools > Elements (tab)

In the < head > you will see a bunch of meta tags, and "og:image". Copy that image url and it will be the generated thumbnail of the original post.

Weirdly the one you linked to is the first time I've not seen a thumbnail. It seems to be missing on that post.

I asked a few years ago if the site owners could include the thumbnail link in the original post info for when videos get removed so they could be answered. I don't think there was interest. We've been able to find quite a few answers for "dead" posts this way.

@Operator How long does it take to mark as correct if the publisher does not? for example I have these post resolved since a 20 -30 days ago with several confirmations but it has not yet been marked by the auto_moderator . I leave some waiting to accept the answer:

Yes,@herkalurk I've seen that a lot.

@ShowME a name and proof link it technically enough, but many times we see a name and video embedded, no other proof links.

@Odetomaybe I prefer the old ways.. :-)

I've seen a name tag and then a link, that's it. no further details, which I don't think was initially enough.

@ShowME I've complained but the mods have said the video can be considered proof. They get referral money for video watches, so the more videos here....
