@Operator

Seems ridiculous to name just 1 performer when there are so many good ones.....

OP
@barelylegalfan Cache will update itself automatically. Yes mod can. Cant comment, if mod can or cannot. But I can.

@callmedad yeah, there has been alot of requests for it.

@herkalurk The fav pornstar was meant for one name for 68 billion. We are gonna look into the table.

Hello guys, Dark theme would be great and would be appreciated!.

@Operator and@Dan

Completely changing topics, it would be really cool to see in the answers tab of the user profile how many points were received for a particular answer. I like how it says what question was asked, and what text answer was posted, but it's just a neat piece of statistics that would be cool to see.

Also, I found a glitch in the formatting of the table of the user information on the user profile. See below images where my favorite pornstar name pushes down the answers value and joins the below row.

@NinNin I did put that question on the confirm thread, however it's up to the confirming user to cast their vote. I didn't make them choose mine. I generally choose the first correct answer I see, so the better question would be to ask the 4 users that confirmed my answer why they chose my answer over the other.

I understand users pouncing on previous answers. I got notification the other day a reply was on a watched thread of mine. Turns out someone has put in an answer to something I have already submitted a valid answer to quite some time ago. What's even more ridiculous, the user already confirmed my answer, then put in their own to grab the points for themselve.

I understand your reasoning not wanting to have a cut throat culture of stealing points, especially with new users who may/may not fully understand what they're doing yet. It's why with new users I, like you, have been telling them when their answer is correct, but needs a little help. The user I'm potentially stealing points from has been around long enough to know what should be included in a good answer. I'll put again, that this particular user hasn't done anything for a year, so they wouldn't have been around to see the trusted sites addition, and other such changes.
#987695
@herkalurk Didn't you receive confirms for your answer because you asked for them on the confirm thread? Your argument about the community having the opportunity to vote for the other answer may not be fair.

Many of us do pounce on other users' answers, but do you really want that to be common practice? Personally, that's not how I like to receive points.
#987655
@NinNin I'm trying to get solid understanding of exactly what is considered good source material. In this occasion the video was uploaded by a publisher account, but that won't always be the case, so should any video upload site be considered a trusted source because of that possibility?

The Mod also mentioned supporting the community. The community had an opportunity to vote for the other answer and didn't. It seems like there are a few people who believe that the video site is enough, but no one voted for it except the Mod which of course is always the deciding vote.

Shouldn't we be helpful to those users trying to follow those guidelines set out? I know I've had it out a bit in this thread, but I'm trying to get real consistent answers so that we as users know exactly what's expected of us. I've been able to point out some inconsistencies in the way answering requirements have changed recently and what is considered correct or acceptable.

Finally I don't have any sympathy about points stealing from a user who literally hasn't logged in for at least 1 year.
#987643
@herkalurk It sounds like you're trying to justify stealing a perfectly good answer.
#987465
@NinNin I'll take that, but it doesn't diminish the point that sites like that as proof is a bad road to go down, especially when we do have content provider sites and the trusted sites list. Also, there is no way to know it was submitted by the content provider unless you click the link. It's why trusted sites were created so we could clearly see without clicking anything that the link is from a good source.
#987455
To be fair@herkalurk , the video was submitted by the official site, so it is not a user submitted video.
#987441
@Operator what confirm link? He linked to a video from a public upload site. Anyone can post a video there. I could post a video there now and say anyone is it in, even if they're not, and link it in my answer as proof. That's the same as posting a video from pornhub, youporn, redtube, etc. It's great to have the video, but those links are not a valid/confirmed source of the video, therefore we can't use it as a sort of evidence. They're as valid as tagging, and tagging was said not to be enough for proof.

You also speak of community, the community supported my answer, not the other. The mod chose the answer with 0 confirms or approvals, while mine had 4.

Finally, why did the mod even intervene? The community did it's job by confirming the answer it thought was most accurate, and the auto_mod would have eventually run and picked up the confirmed answer.

OP
@herkalurk The answer has tags and a confirm link. The other user answered first with a completely perfect answer. Scene information is provided in the confirm link. Its a good answer and there for got the accept.

If the mod would have given the accept to you, the other user would have come here and claimed points stealing.

Mods haven't told you anything, you don't know who the mods are. They are anonymous. They pick out the answer, that is the most fair yet meets the minimal criteria. This answer did. It would be unfair to do anything otherwise. You should have confirmed it and support the community and other users.
#987418
@Operator I was told tagging isn't sufficient by@Operator and@Don . The other user's answer only had tagging and a link to a generic video streaming site. No official information about the scene. According to those guidelines the answer shouldn't have been selected by mod. It's very frustrating to have 1 mod tell me things are going a certain way, then another mod do thing contrary to that.
#987366
OP
@herkalurk Because the other answer was first?
#987361
@Operator @Don

I've been told that tagging isn't sufficient enough, so why was my answer that had evidence not chosen by mod?

What's the name of this porn star?
