How does one apply to become a moderator or staff member?
#1023479
@barelylegalfan at this point the auto_mod can't really be blamed. We've had an influx of new users who aren't really following the rules about tagging or gathering legitimate evidence their answer is correct with other new users who are just confirming things too quickly. The auto_mod does take into account user status, but if 10 low level users say it's good even though it's not, we've got a user issue, not a process issue. I automate IT processes for a living, and there is only so much you can automate if the users don't know how to use the process correctly.

OP
@barelylegalfan It doesn't make mistakes. Its an algorithm. It learns, when the answer is reported, its reversed, then if the confirm was wrong.. it adds a negative point to it. And next time auto moderator requires alot more, before it can call it accept.

Auto moderator cannot make errors, its a robot. It bases its decision on user's inputs. If the confirm is added and the that users confirms were perfect in the past, then it checks the answerers statistics + some more checks -- and it makes a call. If the inputed data is wrong, then the mistake happened then, not inside the auto moderator.

But complaining, that an automated script is making errors, like its alive and making decision is...

I told you to tag the confirmer and ask for an explanation if you want to blame someone. But instead you tagged the answerer. He suggested an answer, he is not at fault it got selected as correct.
#1023380
@Operator, I'm specifically pointing out that auto_mod does make mistakes. It's irrelevant saying that it's the User who makes the mistake when the AI itself is the action that tags the post as Correct. Your logic is flawed.

Any Programmer worth their salt would be constantly trying to improve their creations by utilizing mistakes as a learning tool instead of blaming it's errors on others.

OP
@barelylegalfan We are not gonna drop a system based on 0.01% of all auto_mods actions. The system is brilliant.

Why are you attacking an AI script? You can clearly see who confirmed it manually! Why don't you tag that person and ask them directly. Auto_mod did its calculations and poked the answer, found it to be plausible and answerer and confirmer to be credible and marked it correct -- absolutely brilliant and EXACTLLY how it was designed.

Auto moderation AI doesn't make mistakes -- users who confirm wrongly do!
#1023249
This post was set to correct by auto_mod but the answer is wrong. There has to be a better system than this, when ONE person automatically gets a correct by the auto_mod yet too often 3-4 ppl Confirming posts still won't get a correct until it's done manually.

@Operator if the question cannot be answered, then we need a way to close it instead of leaving it open for others to interpret.

The face of the actress is not visible on the gif, so the moderator reviewing your answer wasn't able to confirm it based on the two images that were available in the proof links. + It's a video question, so some sort of playable video should be there.

Moderator wasn't able to confirm the answer based on the proof provided. This one perhaps could've been accepted, but at the same time, I don't disagree with the moderator's decision either. I accepted it now, since@NinNin provided the supporting link.

Being asked for more proof isn't the same as being marked as wrong. Usually an additional detail or two will be enough to make the answer pass.

Level 4 can make threads. This is due to fact, regular inquiries were being done as threads.

You can still make a thread by making a regular post and ask it to be made into a thread. Either from here, commenting in it or having something mentioned in the title like "Thread:"
#1020454
I know you state that this isn't a place to ask about posting questions, however my question isn't covered in the help section. I would like to know what level is required to make a thread post? The help section and the hint boxes for making posts don't state or acknowledge anything related to a required level, however when I attempt to make a thread I am told that I can't make threads at my current level.

@gricnime the push button is a bit more complex approach, the problem is how to limit/control it. But if the comments and answers are separate, in theory we can turn off notifications on those small comments.
On other suggestions, we will discuss the possibilities over.

@WorldsBestPorn yes of course we can. You can give us more of those common, comment-answers.
#1018855
or, just add a push to the top option and call it bump/up. that would help everyone (there i go mentioning it again, sry). It really is annoying to see those pointless comments when you are expecting some info. Though, i do see a potential for abusing such option, one might go nuts clicking on it.

also, can you add an info about users, an info where you see how many questions one posted and how many answers that person accepted/confirmed. It will tell us if that OP is just a moocher. You sometimes waste a lot of time gathering proof and all the info only to have it lost in time and space cause one lazy user cannot click on one simple option. I would rather just skip the post than go on waiting for other users to confirm it.

And i know you see the number of questions on his profile, but you cannot see if the OP actually confirmed those answers, mods or A_M might have. You would have to go to each of those posts and actually have a look. This would save a lot time. And yes, i am saying we should just avoid giving answers to ungrateful OPs.

@Operator

Answers of "up" wont go trough anymore also too short answers.

Please add "bump" to that list of too short answers. I'm sooooooooooooooooo sick of ppl posting that.

@Dennisdapunhetinha works fine. There is no need to try random stuff in hopes it works, put status:thread thats it. There is no space between just status:thread. In front you write your keyword. Without keyword you are searching for nothing obviously, so it doesn't give you results.
#1018623
Not @operator! It does not work! Let me tell you: I put it in the search bar "status: thread" and no threads appear - just questions with some link with URL "/ thread / ... ''.
Look: I know you must have a lot of questions to answer and answers to confirm, but try to see if what you answered really works. I tried replacing the "status" before the colon in the search, but it came to nothing. Then I tried to replace the thread ... Same thing! Finally, I tried searching for "thread: any word commonly used on a thread" and yet nothing came up! When I was almost giving up and finding myself a sucker, I tried "status: thread:" followed by some word to test. Anything! Only questions appear - sometimes answered, sometimes open (not that it matters, right?)

OP
UPDATE
Answers of "up" wont go trough anymore also too short answers.

Answers also require at least one tag or URL. If theres only text, then probably something is wrong.

@Dennisdapunhetinha in the search it explains all the details. You just use the status:thread. You probably are too low level to delete your comments right now.

suggestion:
On a hentai site I usually go to, there is a tag system where not only the guy who posted the hentai (or the image pack, whatever) can place the tags to find that page in the search. On this site I refer to, even readers and other users can create tags to define that page. Not only that: everyone on the site can pick or drop a tag created! This helps users, those who have posted to hentai but not filled in correctly (or fully) and everyone who searches the site - whatever the reason.
Therefore, I suggest that this tagging system be copied on this site so that searches for specific categories are properly recognized.
