There's no certain number.
It's definitely possible to get marked correct with two confirms, possibly one.
I think it mainly depends on the level of the confirmer.
Like a lot on this site, it's a bit of a mystery.
I've got an answer from another user I've been trying to get marked correct which has twenty-two confirms, but for some reason the auto-moderator won't pick it up!

Each answer must be published 4 days before it is accepted by the auto-moderator of the thread for confirming answers. It can be accepted with one confirmation. But if you were not the first to answer. And the first answer is old and has collected several confirmations over time. Your answer must have more confirmations than the old first answer. So don't wait for the OP to accept your answer. Be active daily in the thread for confirming answers.

It's annoying I know, but as far as I'm aware, there's currently no way of removing them.
Best thing to do is check through your favourites & followings & any that look as though they may fall foul, remove them.
You can always save them to your bookmarks bar, so you can still keep an eye on them.
