I see you're working on detecting duplicates, which is great, but perhaps in the meantime/as an additional measure,there could be a frequently-asked section or possibly even just some manual merging done. The regularity with which someone asks for the name of, say, Shae Summers seems rather inefficient!

Ok im not following the problem very much at the moment. Our systems are working as they should. It can point to a already posted element only, if the IMAGE file is EXACTLY the same, regardless of source URL OR if the media url matches exactly, then you will get that.

Right now we can debug. That 4chan simply doesn't let hotlink or leach their content.

Also, http://i.4cdn.org/b/1409812992018.webm is not directly supported. You can only add direct image files or supported embed content.

I'm developing non-stop till first of October. I have 2 cases of energy drinks here and di.fm Trap music.

However, I have priorities at the moment:
1) Reduce the server resource needs even more
2) Detect absolutely duplicate content and direct them to it
3) Fix the voting-mark_as_correct-vote_confirm system
4) User profile pages + dropdown notification
5) Faster reverse image search, then our labs has at the moment
6) Better way to communicate with users (ticket system some sort, uservoice thing sucks)

So basically. I have all sort of stuff ahead. And the community will go awesome, I promise. Just keep your eyes open for bugs and report them here, uservoice, twitter or email directly.

Right now if you can feel it, we are much much faster at loading and yet, use 2x less bandwidth and 3x less resources :)

Also, I'm currently actively using twitter to post minor system upgrades. Daily conclusions are under Announcements. And some more important things, that my cause problems on the site, are as a sticky note under the header.

We are doing some NAG tests today. You wont probably notice them. But if they go trough, we are gonna modify our sites standards and display methods on GIF's. That are currently extremely large and impossible to trace.

I have installed a new buffer server. Its little bit more advanced and secure. But I cant see any difference in loading times..

I finally got PornHub to work properly. So site should once more be faster and load faster.

I'm currently converting all pictures nearest to our 638x700 max format. So small images, will converted to little bit bigger. Let me please know if you think they are bit blurry or something. We can always convert them back.. But im just thinking this is not a porn site but a identification site.. So if you can see more clearly the face, then shouldn't that be better overal? Let me know anyways seriously.

So I added a solution for the moderators to detect possibly answered posts faster. And also there are VIP users, who are always right and their stuff will be reviewed fastest.

Also, few days Ive tested around with the faster DOM loading. But I had alot of issues, with the CSS style loading faster then JS could fix it into place. I wonder if you guys had the same problem. So I revert it back as it was. Google doesn't like it. But I will make my own method soon for that issue.

I added this new button, next to SOURCE. That will basically open a new window to google. Where, if google has our image there, it should show the post, where the image is in.

This new button is for registered users only however..

Also, if you get the correct answer. Add the reference code, you can copy it from the SURL box, left from SOURCE button. In that case, moderators can quickly verify your answer as correct.

Also, small reminder, if there is a link in the post and correct syntax.. so moderators can with one click confirm that the answer is correct. You will get credited much faster then usually.

NB! The reverse image might not work for new posts and also since we had our little image optimization, then it might take some time, till google has recached all our images once more.. So keep your eyes open, but basically just another tool, to make it faster for you guys.

Anyways. About the correct answers. Before the end of the month all will be double checked. So if you dont see it in live right now.. The scoreboard at the end of month will be accurate.. And then all together figure out the best method for getting stuff corrected faster.

Thought, if the name is in the name tags, movie in the movie tags. There is a source media file or a link, that will with one click confirm the answer. It will be marked as correct faster, then the others.

Aight, GIFs are fixed now. However, they are cached so tight, that best would be to kill the browser cache. Or Im gonna cook something up. But they are fixed anyways right now..

Still, I think we will never start resizing the gifs on this site, as it is so massive resource black hole and most likely will max out on the memory and crash the upload.

So basically.. Know this, you add GIF's Then it will take longer to add to our buffer then with other images.. Max. should be 10 seconds instead of normal image which should be 1 or less of a second.

Voting was planned at first. However, there was a dilemma about the how many votes there should be. Like if we use the variables like:
- post views
- answer upvotes
- answer correct votes

So my idea was to merge them and use them together.. Then again.. if we take the leveled users.. Like level 10 users give 5 confirm vote, then it would be marked as correct.

Anyways, we have a search function built, if you want I can make it so you can access it to test it.. Idea behind it was, that we could find stuff easily and making the confirmation process faster. But it takes alot of resources to do the queries.. And also it went so big that debugging all the errors there.. I dont think this feature will be ever released like that.

Also.. How is the site loading speed? Are you from US? or EU? I did alot of stuff to make the load faster, but on shit net, you will see the site before all the styles and the full theme.. But by todays standards, it shouldn't be a problem. But still, if you notice something wrong or weird, let me know.

And.. do you see any difference between the images before todays update? They are compressed liked shit.. but I cant see that nothing really changed.. GIF is still shit. Im working on that right now..

Some sort of voting would be awesome for correct answers. I've knocked down quite a few I'm confident the answer is right but can't get credit. Or maybe add a couple of approvers from the high contributors. Keep up the good work!

So.. is the site faster? I tweaked alot.. I will also make a better cache control class, that will make it faster.

Ok the major stuff is over now. We should be much faster on the load now. I have other ideas too, but lets see how that goes..

GIF animation thumbnails are broken at the moment. Im working on a fix and can patch later. (In post detail view you can of course see the correct version)

Right now you can use the site again. I will do some tests in the labs bit more. If I figure something out, I will close the joint down for upgrades.
