Posts can be bumped by posting a comment in them or editing your original question. That will update the timestamp and bump the post.

However, posts won't bump on the front page, they will bump in the "Show Open Only" page, where most people answering questions are browsing anyways.

Try editing it, by adding any additional information, that could make answering easier/faster.

Thank you for the feedback guys. We agree with your suggestions and will add options to set your favorites and following sections either public or private, separately. Meaning you could, for example, keep your favorites public and following private.

In terms of ranks/levels, currently we have the basic leveling system. Next up, we are planning to add automatic privileges, which unlock, if the user reaches a certain level along with badges for completing various activities.

As for giving points some usage, we have planned a solution for it, which we are extremely excited about ourselves - but it might take a while before we get there with our development, as we have a lot of things to address - So I unfortunately can't give anymore details about this just yet.

how about like being able to do something with your points?

and/or give certain ppl ranks like at a specific amount of points,
or maybe to combine it with the other thing i just said,
like make it able to buy ranks with points which give you more features,
or maybe to give the ranks by total points and buy some extra options with the points

i didnt really think this over as you might see.. :p
but just trying to maybe giving some ideas

also maybe being able to change some "privacy" settings?
i just saw on a profile that you can now see that persons follows and favs..
and what i mean is to add something that makes it able for peolpe to show or hide it for other members,
and maybe also other profile stats..

Under the settings tab, you will be able to:
- Change your avatar
- Add about me text
- Change your password
- Change your email
- Set your notification preferences

Sorry for the downtime. We ran into unexpected problems in the upgrade process. We will run smoothly now until tomorrow, when we might have to boot the server once more. However, it shouldn't take this long that time, max 15min, we hope.

We will go down for 30 to 60 min, either today or tomorrow.

Downtime is due to server upgrades. We are going add extra RAM and new improved cache systems. We expect the site to perform much better or at least improve the thumbnail load times. But it's mostly sudden spikes in traffic, that we want to be prepared for.

We are not sure how long the process exactly will last, so if the first part of the upgrade goes near to 30 min, we will put the site back live and leave it running for a while, before the second upgrade.

While we hope everything goes smoothly, there may occur some anomalies after the upgrade - which will be worked out right away.

So currently half of the DNS has updated itself. Some of you see the new site and some of you see the old site. This message will be seen on both sites.

On new site we dont have read-only mode, so if you are on the new site, you can post and on the old site, you cannot.

Hopefully the DNS will update fully soon, so everybody can enjoy the new server :)

So as you can see, I cleaned the database up a little bit. If post is too amateur, it will be moved to deleted posts from now on. You can still go and answer them and actually get 100 points extra automatically. And if the post gets answered, the deleted mark will be removed.
This is just to keep the database clean and not ruin our stats with impossible posts, that most likely will never get answered.

Second thing is that, we have had alot of crashes lately. The traffic is so high, that development of new stuff automatically crashes the whole system. We are currently looking into upgrading our servers so this will be a pretty big thing coming. Hopefully everything will go smooth :)

That being said, there might be some readonly-time coming, when we start to move. But in theory the readonly time shouldn't be more then 20min. I will keep you up to date with everything. If site is down, you can always check our twitter. If I cannot communicate via the site, I will use twitter. Rest a sure, that we will never go away.. so if site is down for some reason, we most likely are already fixing it and our mini-crashes don't take longer then 20min usually.

Ok sorry my bad.. doubles detective was doing his job. Just problem was, that videos got detected and there was nothing to detect against. Fixed. Though, now expect a higher number of more posts then in the past few days

now in the xvx.io line, you see ID and HASH.. While normal sites use ID's everywhere.. they use HASH for this.. so in this example the id = 201408 and hash = a568aa2 there for you can crab the biggest thumb available

Hmm. I thought I fixed that.. I'm going look into the posting. You guys can by default always try to submit, you don't have to even submit completely, but just check if the submit form pops down. If it doesnt, post a link here.
There is a blocking system for EXACT duplication, but everything else should go trough. Even if the source is lets say 10px wider, its not a duplicate. And on videos, it shouldn't detect nothing at all..

Well, we can detect duplicates.. but only direct ones.. we are working on our schematics of image fingerprinting from scratch.. Also, we have the featured tab.. Though, there are so many priorities on this site and only one developer, me. So I'm picking the tasks by how much BOOM it will have on the sites speed and quality and sadly the UI is going down in the priority list at the moment. But the optimization part is basically done, I cannot make the site faster anymore. Actually I can.. but :D that's overdoing it..
