Basically, notifications in the dropdown, they should have only critical stuff in it. Very simply otherwise it messes with the system more then needed.

I think the best thing would have better activity log in the user profile or maybe even privately for the user. Where user can filter out specific actions, they want. For example, you can check all correct or incorrect confirms, that you have given. This also solves your votes question.

Solved ratio is temp removed from profile, as table structure was redone and it didnt make sense to have one parameter there only to show your solved ratio. I will get to it too shortly.

What does it mean confirm ratio and what kind of benefit or purpose users have of it ?

Why is there no longer any notifications in user panel about who confirmed some answer. To me, and all other users is very important. I know wich post I confirmed, now we can se wellcome message for suporting community ... but I don't know which my comment are confirmed

About votes. I want to know wich post is up/down voted. I didn't have that, some users had. Gotten upvotes - gotten downvotes

Comments number ok, unsolved comments number doesn't exist any more. Also very important for users.

Is it possible that the OP - user can have options in its panel, what will be shown and what is not? Like Following and favorites, for example.

I guess a lot has already been answered, but please answer my questions and suggestions.

One option is to have settings for notifications, but we decided that, that is too much facebook.

Right now users get a notification on wrongful confirm, but correct one can be found in the profile. Basically, notifications need to go to only important stuff, and all other account history should be accessible from profile, where you can filter "Helpful confirms". But, its so low prio right now. We are working (still) on review panel options, but there is alot of ground work. We are right now implementing tags, which believe or not, is a stage in the review panel development.

We did hook up the confirm ratio / level thing, but sadly there was not enough data to do the auto accepts right away. Honestly, some of the confirms are so horrible and the highest ratio users, cannot actually confirm that well. We need more dynamic approach on that, which is in the works as well.

You still get notified that your confirm was accepted on your profile in the activity section. I find this is just a cleaner way for it to be done. Now when you see the flashing horn on your notifications, it would because there's actually something important that you should see. Still, I wouldn't be opposed to being able to choose what you want to get notifications for like I suggested earlier, but until then, I think things are working fine right now.

The Help and Support section mentions editing a comment, is there actually a way to do this if need be? I don't see the option anywhere.

After a week of seeing how the overhauled notification system works--and it still seems to have bugs--I have to say I prefer receiving notifications for confirms. It is a good indication of the activity level on this site--that is, if answers are being moderated and/or accepted--and it shows new users the importance of confirming. I don't know if users are receiving notifications for declined confirms, but that is important, too.

There was a time not long ago that the notification system worked without issue. I haven't noticed an improvement in site performance in the past week, although maybe it's too soon to tell. My suggestion is to consider reinstating notifications for confirms or, better yet, to have an opt-out option for users who wish not to receive them as proposed by@WorldsBestPorn .

@Operator there is something wrong with my notifications . always says i have 6 note more than real number . if i have 2 note it shows 8 if i have lets say 5 note it shows 13 note . i want u to fix it

UPDATE

The accept and confirm system got redone. Accepting and confirms both should be much faster events from now on.

Bugs:
- Points showing wrongly in posts and when accepted fixed.
- Better event label logics and various bug fixes.

Features:
- If answer needs editing and cannot be accepted, you cannot confirm it until its fixed from now on.
- You don't get no more notifications, if your confirm was accepted or unaccepted, you can see that from your profile in the activity aka events log.
- If correct answer is rolled back, the user will lose those points. There for accepting and unaccepting answers to cheat points, doesn't work anymore and will automatically ban you :)

Important part: Confirms are stored way differently from now on. And we can keep very nice track on who is a good confirmers and who is not. This means "confirmation ratios" as variables. Which we can use to automatically accept answers, where good confirmers have confirmed it.
This also was an important todo item for the review panel.

Glitches may appear, please let us know if there are any problems accepting, unaccepting, moderating or confirming.

so, its suggestion time to basically take as much as unnecessary stuff out. So, notifications in regards of your confirm being helpful is not needed?

Right now the accepting and confirming system is being rewritten, so in regards to that.. what are you suggestions on removing functions?

Yes, that's very annoying and happens to me all the time, but there's a simple fix:

1. Save the GIF as a video

2. Play the video and take a screenshot of it

3. Upload the pic to twitter or someplace

4. Post that pic's link on NTP

The notifications are a mess

For the past 2 days, I kept being notified that I had an "item to view", but every time I selected "click here to view", it would say "no notifications", so it's clearly broken. But even when it's working right, it's still not working well. Why aren't we able to choose which items we get notified for? Because I don't know why anyone in their right mind would choose to be notified every time an answer they confirmed got marked as correct. If you confirm a lot of answers, then 99% of your notifications would be just that, and I frankly don't care. The only notifications I want to have is when someone messages me, when someone sends me a friend request, when an answer I posted is not accepted, and when a post I'm following gets a new comment. That's it, and we should be able to choose that in our settings in the future if we desire it.

You know when the title of the question is "Find Video", it means "Find/See Video" i.e. a link to the actual video & not just the info about it.
I intentionally didn't mark it as correct because there were already previous threads containing the info. I wanted the video.
