@mulhollanddr So, what happened. I guess 12 months ago your answers were overlooked. The videosites you provided, went lower on quality (one asks for membership on non-ssl site.. lol, other simply doesn't work) and now someone came and posted fresh links and moderation took over.

There is not much else to say about this. Im sure that in the future, your answer quality is by default better and things will get pickedup quicker. I like the Mulholland movie tho.

@clueless_pornster These is a way. There is a moderation solution right now. It is not review pool, review pool is under development. But since the current moderation solution works, then review pools priority is lowered at the time being. Instead we managed to get the site's performance at a nice stable state.

@mulhollanddr I understand your frustration, but I think I can explain why your answers were not chosen. In the first post, the video on mirror 1 doesn't seem to work (however, the one on mirror 2 does). That could be the reason why the other user posted his own answer and whoever moderated the post thought your video was missing. In your second post, one needs a membership to watch the video. I would choose the answer with the free playable video.

Are you confirming other users' posts on the confirm thread?

This is extremely annoying.
Many months ago, I answered to a few posts that were made almost a year ago, but they were never marked as as the correct answer even though many users confirmed them to be correct.
And then some random guy comes along and answers less than a month ago and his answer gets marked as correct.

I answered this 10 months ago and still no response, but some dude who answered it 21 days ago gets the "Correct Answer" tag.
The "Request Confirms" thread is synonymous with garbage. Many of the posts that I posted their didn't get confirmed.

The "review pool" is the answer to your question, but no one knows how it works except a handful of users who have yet to fill the rest of us in.

Is there a way for answers to get accepted as correct on old posts asked by anonymous users? Of course, I answered all of them with correct tags and confirm links. I'm just wondering how would those posts get accepted as correct. I have a lot of those posts answered.

@gricnime Several users asked about votes on this thread six-to-seven months ago, and this is@Operator 's response:

The votes are no longer logged as events, thats why they do not show up in the event log. Because of that, they do not give points and cannot be redone. This is because, alot of users were abusing the voting system and killing the server performance. It is a very low priority at the moment, but when the overhaul gets to events subsystem, then hopefully voting will be upgraded as well.

@Operator I think it's helpful for users to know which of their posts are receiving votes, particularly downvotes, so if an answer is incorrect, they can fix it. It would then be important for us to be able to undo downvotes.

Is there a way to solve questions made by anonymous users posted long time ago? Some of these users are not frequent visitors and use to leave open posts with correct answers from loyal NTP members

a quicker way to add a post/thread to subscriptions or favourites without opening the post entirely.

for e.g. just hovering over the image would have the :star: or the :megaphone: icon show up and then you can just click that.

it'll be a bit easier to work through lists / main page

@perfecten Yes, these are scraping sites. They are the cancer of the internet. Sadly not much to do about it, but to try to block them off.
