Following and favouriting posts are no longer working

I am not able to add any posts to my followings or favorites. When I click on the icons to add the post to my favorites it shows added, but when I check my favorites it is not there and if I refresh the page the icon again changes back to not favorited. Any suggestions where can I get help with this?
