So turns out this amanda was spamming you all trough a loop hole, with empty friend requests. That hole is of course now fixed.

Your friend request notifications should be synced too, so it should not be an issue anymore.

I'm having a similar issue. I keep getting notified that I have a friend request, but then when I click on it, it says Coming soon.. (hopefully). O_O Refreshing hasn't worked, so I suppose I will have this blinking notification for all eternity.
