I ask myself, and I ask you: can you even read? The guidelines at the beginning of the Confirm thread are not just clear, they are crystal clear, but apparently you couldn't care less!
3. Don't add more than 10 answers into a single comment. (people tend to skip posts if there's too many requests)

I would like to propose a discussion of some revisions to the site instructions. There are many questions that come up over and over. That points lazy users who refused to read and/or confusing or inadequate instructions.

Can someone educate me? I've answered several questions that had been around a long time. 5 months later, still no points. It seems pointless to keep around the old questions if no one ever looks and awards the points. what am I doing wrong?

Points are automatically increased. Depending on how much time has passed since the question was posted. See the calendar under each post. As a user, the only thing you can add manually so that you don't have to wait long for an answer. You can leave a comment with information that will help others answer correctly and create a complete answer. See my questions. Because if you answer a question yourself that you asked and your answer is accepted, you don't get any points for that.

I cant seem to find a button to do so or even any info on it.
So its says on older post with bigger poitns than standard 25 that: "For hard questions, that don't get solved in time, automatic or manual bounty points will be added. "
This I understand as such: If it doesn't get solved in some pre set time the points will automatically go up or you can palce extra points to make more enticing to try to solve for others.
