Why can I not accept answers in my posts?

It has happened to me atleast 4 or 5 times that i have answered a question and the OP instead of confirming it deletes the question after knowing the answer .
What to do about it ?

It will be great if I can put my points on the question (not needed to be my question). So these questions get solved faster. The level will remain the same.

Eg.

Hey. I am searching for a long time for a porn video I watched and I can't find it.

Either browse old unanswered questions or look at "newest questions" for somw time until one you know an answer to pops up. If you answer and your answer gets confirmed as correct, you are going to increase your level and then you will be able to post your own question
