i honestly will never understand how this site can tolerate people who post the same answer and even reward them for that. re-posting the same answer should not be rewarded with points. i didnt get points for roughly 30% of my answers, because a few hours, days or even months later, someone re-posted the same answer and got a confirmation, because people dont scroll down to look if the answer was already given. they simply assume that it has not been solved yet and just confirm the first answer they can find. no idea why this site doesnt sort the answers top (oldest) to bottom (newest). this would solve a lot of problems. but in its current state, the point system is totally useless. this site should reward us and motivate us to solve posts. but instead we get punished for being the first ones to post the correct answer. its better to simply wait for someone else to post the answer and re-post it a few days later. the lack of proper automation makes point stealing pretty easy. i also have no idea why we are even allowed to post the same name in the first place. why doesnt the site check if the name you are trying to submit was already posted? it could give us a notification that you cant post the same name and prompt us to confirm the answer instead. i find myself visiting this site less and less for obvious reasons. if things dont change, i will quit using this site for good.

@xjunox if the OP asks to see the video. He is literally asks to see the video. If you don't provide some link so he could somehow see the video, then your answer will be partial.
There are tons of free sites and even official ones out there, I have no idea what this file sharing issue is.
Stopping someone for posting the same nametags is like taking free speech away. Its never going to happen. This would mean, that all anons and trolls will post the correct name and nobody can ever post the full answer anymore. Quality will drop and all answers become partial. Out of question.

@xjunox At the end of the day the person who answers the question gets the points, and you answer a "where can i find this video?" question with a link to that video

@Someone_9999 no, i use tags, which get recognized as such and redirect to the proper thread. the new posts simply use the very same tags and steal my points.
@Operator a quote from the other thread: "i provided all the infos required to find the video. this is not a file sharing site. providing a video-link is a bonus, but not a requirement. re-posting the same answer should not be rewarded with points." links dont last forever and there is nothing worse than a dead link. so i dont know why you even encourage file sharing on this site. besides, the majority of the posts where my points got stolen, didnt contain any links at all. so there is that. fact is, that this sites point and confirmation system is totally useless and discourages everyone to properly contribute to this site in any way. once a thread has been marked as solved, then yes, i agree that the correct answer should be on top. but the posts as such should be sorted top (oldest) to bottom (newest). that and a restriction to re-post an already posted name, would make this site much more usable. as of bonus content like additional names and videos, you could add some sort of assist reward and automatically pin it underneath the correct answer. there is a billion ways of how to make this site better. dont get me wrong, im not trying to be a dick about all this and tell you guys how to run this site. all im saying is that this site is not fun anymore and im not the only one who is pissed about this huge flaw. so when more and more people start looking for alternatives, dont be surprised. oh and btw, as for my "partial answer" you said: "Your answer is partial. Question is about video, you answered with a name." which is not true, my answer was: "x-art Karina White love to love you". name of the studio, name of the actress, name of the video itself. all it was lacking was the link to a video. but as i pointed out earlier, im not too keen on file sharing, so i try to avoid posting links to videos if the source is widely available. and honestly, if someone lacks the basic knowledge of right clicking a text and google search it, then that person shouldnt be here in the first place. sorry.

Reason why we designed the newest to be first, was due to the fact posts are hybrid between threads and posts. It was all about giving the OP, the user who needs help with something the best odds. FYI: In moderation panel the possible answers are ordered by detected quality. So if the answer contains name-tags, data18 link and some video link -- there is a higher chance of getting accepted.

im not an expert on this and I experience that too. I once emailed the developers of this site about some issues and they are very responsive
