i honestly will never understand how this site can tolerate people who post the same answer and even reward them for that. re-posting the same answer should not be rewarded with points. i didnt get points for roughly 30% of my answers, because a few hours, days or even months later, someone re-posted the same answer and got a confirmation, because people dont scroll down to look if the answer was already given. they simply assume that it has not been solved yet and just confirm the first answer they can find. no idea why this site doesnt sort the answers top (oldest) to bottom (newest). this would solve a lot of problems. but in its current state, the point system is totally useless. this site should reward us and motivate us to solve posts. but instead we get punished for being the first ones to post the correct answer. its better to simply wait for someone else to post the answer and re-post it a few days later. the lack of proper automation makes point stealing pretty easy. i also have no idea why we are even allowed to post the same name in the first place. why doesnt the site check if the name you are trying to submit was already posted? it could give us a notification that you cant post the same name and prompt us to confirm the answer instead. i find myself visiting this site less and less for obvious reasons. if things dont change, i will quit using this site for good.

true, it could get pretty slow. its mostly a matter of resources and code optimization though. but i understand that you guys dont have the budget of google or microsoft.
the partial answer warning for "where can i find this video" threads is a really good thing. maybe you could add the same warning for "name of this pornstar" threads, when someone forgets to use tags. although it would be better if that warning would appear before you actually post something. (if its not working like that already. cant remember.)
the point splitting sounds good too, but i think half is a bit too much. sometimes the porn star is really well known, but the video is really hard to find. if the reward for just the name is too high, this could be abused pretty easily. maybe 20-30% would be more suitable for that.

The known pornstars name detection has been live-trialed, but it is way too slow and the pornstar index is fully automatic at the moment.
I think, that best solution would be partial credit points for original name-tag. So the if nametags are provided, but for example video is not. Then the award goes splits. That is doable. But first the natural solve ratio has to go higher.

We are addressing all issues. Just not at once. Also some of the issues are tied behind others. So most of the times development takes place on background processes, that will never be shown.
Same tag blocking is not a solution. The UI was designed so the answers would not get lost. That is not the issue at this point. This is what Im trying to say all this time. The issue, is that OP either doesn't come back or doesn't care or doesn't know what to do. A very high % of accepts are given out by moderating staff, they do not have the same order in moderation panel. The order is kept with algorithm that tries to evaluate the answers quality.

you did have me laugh at the attention seeking part though. what kind of attention do i get for adressing a huge flaw in your system that discourages many users from contributing? i have been a user on this site for roughly 2 years now. i solved many posts. i confirmed many posts. i reported a lot of spam. i told many beginners to use tags and i never re-posted an answer in hope to steal points. i dont need no attention buddy. i never expected anyone to pat me on the back. i simply did all of this, because its the right thing to do. allowing people to steal points, is not.
and btw, on professional programing websites, you cant even ask the same or too similar question. the website simply redirects you to the already given answers. stackoverflow also uses the top (oldest) to bottom (newest) sorting order, which solves a lot of problems by default. ok they also take into account the amount of upvotes and downvotes, but whatever. they still manage to pin the correct answer on top and that layout is exactly what i have been suggesting the whole time.

Its like talking to a wall here. We are working hard on updates, things don't happen overnight. You say you understand, but keep on ranting. And I did make it clear: blocking users using same name tags is beyond stupid and will never be implemented. Its like stackoverflow would start blocking off comments, using the same commands.

There are certain things that I see. When I first came to this site it was pretty easy to level up. Everyone was nice and I learned how to tag names in my answers. I also learned that if answers weren't tagged or if they were partial and didn't fully answer the question you could steal points. Now that I've reached the threshold it's became harder for me to level up. The higher levels don't want to help the lower levels and the lower levels don't want to help the higher levels which doesn't help us achieve anything. Don't get me wrong this is probably the best namethatporn forum in terms of the layout and the fact that the community isn't dead but I have about 90 correct answers that've been answered fully and only 50 that have been MARKED as correct. So that's about 45% of my answers that I have not recieved the points for since you don't get points for receiving confirms. Keep in mind some of these answers are from questions that are months or years old and worth 100-700 points. I do agree that the site needs a new way to implement the points system. I don't want to wait months for points that I should already have. I scroll through year old questions all the time and there are people who experience this problem as well. I try to confirm as many of the older post answers as possible so the lower levels can level up as well. And most of my confirms do lead to their answers being marked as correct. And I see other people doing this too. And there are still anonymous answers that get confirmed. I don't confirm anonymous answers since its throwing away points I just repost the answer as my own. But we need more people to do this as well to make the system better.

You still don't understand. The order doesn't matter. Moderator checked your answer, clicked on marked as seen and moved on. Regardless of where it would have been sitting on the page, it would have not been accepted as correct because it was PARTIAL.

I agree with you that the first correct answer should get the points but only when it provides the answer the op asked for and when it is formatted correctly.
I see a lot of older users helping the new ones with telling them to tag their answers and where they can find more info about it. every new user should be helped at first so they stay on this site.

3.) im not going to check the content of an internal and valid and as solved marked ntp post, that is used as reference to prove that the actress name and/or video match. besides, how do you know the video link was not working when i posted that answer? maybe i did check it for once and it did work.
it bothers me because every day i see this happening. not just with me, but a lot of users here. especially the low level ones (even lower than me). constantly seeing how lvl 8 users are trying to fuck over lvl 4 users, until a lvl 40 user shows up and fucks everyone over. my strong sense of justice tells me that this is not right and that the lvl 4 user should get the points.

it bothers me because every day i see this happening. not just with me, but a lot of users here. especially the low level ones (even lower than me). constantly seeing how lvl 8 users are trying to fuck over lvl 4 users, until a lvl 40 user shows up and fucks everyone over. my strong sense of justice tells me that this is not right and that the lvl 4 user should get the points.
you are right, this site is about helping others. so why does it reward people who are only helping themselves? constantly pulling off some dick moves like that. first comes first. the first correct answer should count, not the last answer that was posted x months later. and like i said earlier, this isnt even about video requests. a lot of requests are simply about names and people literally just write the very same tag, without any extra info and get the confirmation, instead the user who posted the correct answer before him. sorry but thats is just ridiculous.
