i honestly will never understand how this site can tolerate people who post the same answer and even reward them for that. re-posting the same answer should not be rewarded with points. i didnt get points for roughly 30% of my answers, because a few hours, days or even months later, someone re-posted the same answer and got a confirmation, because people dont scroll down to look if the answer was already given. they simply assume that it has not been solved yet and just confirm the first answer they can find. no idea why this site doesnt sort the answers top (oldest) to bottom (newest). this would solve a lot of problems. but in its current state, the point system is totally useless. this site should reward us and motivate us to solve posts. but instead we get punished for being the first ones to post the correct answer. its better to simply wait for someone else to post the answer and re-post it a few days later. the lack of proper automation makes point stealing pretty easy. i also have no idea why we are even allowed to post the same name in the first place. why doesnt the site check if the name you are trying to submit was already posted? it could give us a notification that you cant post the same name and prompt us to confirm the answer instead. i find myself visiting this site less and less for obvious reasons. if things dont change, i will quit using this site for good.

Same tag blocking is not a solution. The UI was designed so the answers would not get lost. That is not the issue at this point. This is what Im trying to say all this time. The issue, is that OP either doesn't come back or doesn't care or doesn't know what to do. A very high % of accepts are given out by moderating staff, they do not have the same order in moderation panel. The order is kept with algorithm that tries to evaluate the answers quality.
As I said, the order is not at fault here, the moderator manually selected the other answers because yours were partial. You can argue against it, but if 99.99% other users post video for "where is the video" questions, then obviously moderator is going to mark it as partial.
We are working hard on the quality of the content right now. I cannot go into details here, but I hope there is going to be a development board, limited for users who wish to take part. I hope its matter of a week till its up.

in an earlier post i already suggested some sort of assist feature, where additional info like video links and aliases could get rewarded and automatically pinned under the correct answer. i also asked why we even have to add tags manaually. especially new users have no idea how this works and in todays day and age, tags could be added automatically when a known pornstar name was found. if the pornstar name doesnt exist in the database yet, the site could prompt you to suggest a tag manually.

i never said you guys dont work on updates at all. i am just talking about one particular flaw of this site, you dont seem to have addressed as of yet. why you see this as a rant is beyond me. people respond to me and i respond back. thats how communication and problem solving works. anyone is free to bring in ideas on how to tackle this issue. thats the whole point of this thread. more and more people join this discussion and more and more people agree with me. eventually we will find a solution. so no idea why constructive criticism is bothering you so much. besides, tag blocking was just one of the many solutions i proposed.
you did have me laugh at the attention seeking part though. what kind of attention do i get for adressing a huge flaw in your system that discourages many users from contributing? i have been a user on this site for roughly 2 years now. i solved many posts. i confirmed many posts. i reported a lot of spam. i told many beginners to use tags and i never re-posted an answer in hope to steal points. i dont need no attention buddy. i never expected anyone to pat me on the back. i simply did all of this, because its the right thing to do. allowing people to steal points, is not.
and btw, on professional programing websites, you cant even ask the same or too similar question. the website simply redirects you to the already given answers. stackoverflow also uses the top (oldest) to bottom (newest) sorting order, which solves a lot of problems by default. ok they also take into account the amount of upvotes and downvotes, but whatever. they still manage to pin the correct answer on top and that layout is exactly what i have been suggesting the whole time.

Its like talking to a wall here. We are working hard on updates, things don't happen overnight. You say you understand, but keep on ranting. And I did make it clear: blocking users using same name tags is beyond stupid and will never be implemented. Its like stackoverflow would start blocking off comments, using the same commands.

i dont care about getting points. i care about others NOT getting points, because they re-post my answers. thats my issue with all of this. i put time and effort into helping someone, then some douchbag simply re-posts my answer and gets all the credit. those are the ones that have a real hard-on for points and i dont want them to get any, if they werent the ones who initially posted the correct answer.
yes, mods are only humans and humans do make mistakes. but thats the whole point of this discussion. if this site had proper automation and some basic features, then manually marking a thread as solved shouldnt be needed any longer. if for example 3 users confirm a post, why doesnt the thread automatically get marked as solved?

There are certain things that I see. When I first came to this site it was pretty easy to level up. Everyone was nice and I learned how to tag names in my answers. I also learned that if answers weren't tagged or if they were partial and didn't fully answer the question you could steal points. Now that I've reached the threshold it's became harder for me to level up. The higher levels don't want to help the lower levels and the lower levels don't want to help the higher levels which doesn't help us achieve anything. Don't get me wrong this is probably the best namethatporn forum in terms of the layout and the fact that the community isn't dead but I have about 90 correct answers that've been answered fully and only 50 that have been MARKED as correct. So that's about 45% of my answers that I have not recieved the points for since you don't get points for receiving confirms. Keep in mind some of these answers are from questions that are months or years old and worth 100-700 points. I do agree that the site needs a new way to implement the points system. I don't want to wait months for points that I should already have. I scroll through year old questions all the time and there are people who experience this problem as well. I try to confirm as many of the older post answers as possible so the lower levels can level up as well. And most of my confirms do lead to their answers being marked as correct. And I see other people doing this too. And there are still anonymous answers that get confirmed. I don't confirm anonymous answers since its throwing away points I just repost the answer as my own. But we need more people to do this as well to make the system better.
@Operator When we do get the points from anonymous posts? I have answered the questions, got confirm from other users and stuck in limbo. Please consider to finalize my posts in the favorities section. There are 10 posts are waiting to be happy.
You still don't understand. The order doesn't matter. Moderator checked your answer, clicked on marked as seen and moved on. Regardless of where it would have been sitting on the page, it would have not been accepted as correct because it was PARTIAL.

I agree with you that the first correct answer should get the points but only when it provides the answer the op asked for and when it is formatted correctly.
I see a lot of older users helping the new ones with telling them to tag their answers and where they can find more info about it. every new user should be helped at first so they stay on this site.

2.) the question is "where can i find this video?" and the answer "x-art karina white love to love you" answers that question. the question is not "can i haz link to an illegal video so i dont have to visit x-art and pay for it?".
3.) im not going to check the content of an internal and valid and as solved marked ntp post, that is used as reference to prove that the actress name and/or video match. besides, how do you know the video link was not working when i posted that answer? maybe i did check it for once and it did work.

until this site gets better by a lot, i wont be helping out anymore. its as simple as that. i dont see the point in helping some lvl 50 user reach lvl 60 faster. even if i did serve you everything on a silver plate (write the name + the data18 link + a video source + the actresses blood type), a few days, weeks or months later, a high lvl user will come to that thread and spam the shit out of it with tons of tons of useless information and a bunch of links to the very same questions, just to artificially lengthen the whole topic. then he will beg for confirmation in the "request confirmation" thread and the first user that comes to visit that thread, wont bother scrolling all the way down to see if there was a previous answer already. he will just be happy to finish scrolling through the high lvl users spam and confirm that shit for good. in fact, a high lvl user doesnt even bother posting until a thread reaches a certain amount of points. you dont get rewarded for solving a post quickly. you get rewarded for bookmarking it and stealing the points after waiting a few weeks or months. are you honestly telling me that a site like this should encourage this? if it was the other way around and threads would actually lose points over time, boy oh boy would we have some quick answers on here. lmao

the drama is, that this site lacks basic features and automation and that high lvl people abuse the shit out of it. why arent tags generated automatically? why cant the data18 or whatever link be generated automatically? why can we re-post the same name in the same thread? why arent the posts sorted top (oldest) to bottom (newest)? why cant the post get auto confirmed, if its a known picture and matches the name? the list could go on and on.
until this site gets better by a lot, i wont be helping out anymore. its as simple as that. i dont see the point in helping some lvl 50 user reach lvl 60 faster. even if i did serve you everything on a silver plate (write the name + the data18 link + a video source + the actresses blood type), a few days, weeks or months later, a high lvl user will come to that thread and spam the shit out of it with tons of tons of useless information and a bunch of links to the very same questions, just to artificially lengthen the whole topic. then he will beg for confirmation in the "request confirmation" thread and the first user that comes to visit that thread, wont bother scrolling all the way down to see if there was a previous answer already. he will just be happy to finish scrolling through the high lvl users spam and confirm that shit for good. in fact, a high lvl user doesnt even bother posting until a thread reaches a certain amount of points. you dont get rewarded for solving a post quickly. you get rewarded for bookmarking it and stealing the points after waiting a few weeks or months. are you honestly telling me that a site like this should encourage this? if it was the other way around and threads would actually lose points over time, boy oh boy would we have some quick answers on here. lmao

i can understand the need for video links of rare stuff, but not when the video is widely available. a little bit of effort from OP can be expected. people are too lazy to even right click a text. the majority doesnt even know that you can google search a freaking image. you can post a link to a short shitty 480p video clip and get points for that, while someone posts a link to the full 1080p video and doesnt get the points. quality doesnt even matter here, what matters is who posted last and that person gets all the glory, which is just insane.
@Operator free speech? really? lmao ok..... wait, if trolls and anons post the correct answer, then it is the full answer isnt it? btw im talking about a per thread restriction of re-posting names. user1 posts Jenna Jameson, then user2 cant re-post Jenna Jameson in that very same thread. why would that create any problems? that answer is either right and should be confirmed or its wrong. its not rocket science. he can still post jenna jameson, but without tags. so where is the problem? you can still post other aliases with tags and if anything, quality would increase, not drop. and as for the file sharing thing, in some countries if you post a link to copyright infringed material, you can get sued as well, wether you were the one who originally uploaded the video or not.
