Features:
- Tag pages have a dynamic sort order, its not a bug, its a feature. Order option buttons coming.
- Related by tag section removed from post view.
- Almost 1000 issues refactored and running on newest PHP version.
- NTP supports video upload, with sound.
- New media conversion solution for submitter, fails less, is faster and works on the background.
- Ability to filter new vs hot in tags
Known issues:
- All GIF thumbnails were darker [FIXED]
- GIF upload doesnt work [FIXED]
- Emails to gmail doesnt come trough [FIXED]
- Submit button in post submitting not working [FIXED]
- Pornstar pages top links (will be removed, useless) [REMOVED]
- Safari had image/page loading issues [FIXED]
- User profiles pagination in tabs not working [FIXED]
- GIFs are not converting correctly [FIXED]
- Some pages produced 503 http code. [FIXED]
- Safari did not load pages fully in some cases. [FIXED]
- No image detected message when uploading a video in submitter. [FIXED]
- Mysqli max connection error in new server [FIXED]

@LonelyCurious13 Yes, that change applies to everyone. It’s part of a spam prevention update. In most cases, once a post is marked as solved, there’s no need for additional comments.

@LonelyCurious13 no, they are due to recent massive update to the submitter. It was fixed in the morning. Will probably happen again in the future, but it will fix itself.

@ryosaeba75 Yes that was screwed up with the new server as I very quickly re-did the search, these features got left out. We will work on search hopefully soon.
@DoyenLebowski1950 @satanismo Fixed. I refactored the entire header to be more modern, render faster and to include the image reverse image upload. But some of the styling got messed up and we had of course major issues coming up.. But I fixed it now, it should be better then ever :)

Was the search impacted by the update/issue?

The megaphone and letter icons that appear when you have a notification. They used to be displayed horizontally. Now they are displayed vertically on top of each other.

We are running on the newest version of php, which was not easy thing to do. Had to refactor everything and due to that GIF upload is temp. disabled.
I have not seen any errors since I refactored almost 1000 issues. Seems like we are more stable and also faster then ever. But please keep trying all functions of the site and try to break it :)

Ok im going to work on the php core of ntp, so keep your eyes open. Random small errors could pop up here or there.

Right now we are focusing on updating javascript core, which will make things alot faster and updating the php version, which is long long overdue -- also will make the site much faster and secure. After these big chunks, I can fix some smaller stuff.

Not right now. You have to understand, that on the background there are very heavy processes going -- this means, I am focusing on updating and upgrading core programs. Which will allow us to hopefully operate another 11 years. This has been ongoing since last years ends.. every single day.
Once the critical infrastructure is done, then minor things can be looked at. And dark mode is minor compared to infrastructure, as we almost lost NTP few weeks ago.
Thats why there is this thread, for testing, so I can develop. Right now Im getting all sort of other random and unrelated things, but not specifically the things I need to be tested (meaning doesnt it work, can you break it).

@Kivoca looking into it, but I am not aware of how this could even happen. Could be due to development, so it will stabilize soon. I am very often killing cache to fix things. ALSO our server program (LiteSpeed) was broken over the weekend, so it was fixed few days ago, that could cause this. So maybe keep your eye on it, if the issue comes back -- let me know.

@LonelyCurious13 Well its been broken for almost 6 months, and nobody has missed it yet. So sort of useless, but fixing it will take valuable time.. So right now I dont see the cost vs benefit of this fix.
