Each User can configure, on their profile page, settings his Preferences using the "edit" option:
- Hide my favorites
- Hide my followings
Other users (whether friends or not) can only view what has not been hidden.
If a user has hidden those lists, you can only view:
ACTIVITY, QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, ANSWERS, POINTS

Yeah, just to give a bit of further feedback, the upvote function still seems to not work properly. Seems to be a problem with how the database is not saving one's action permanently as opposed the view behavior

First of all, learn how to use the site properly. It's amazing how many people use the site without bothering to find out how it works.
You've been registered for three years & yet you still dont know how to correctly format an answer.
The two guides below should answer most of your questions.
The quickest way to gain points is to answer unsolved questions. The older the question, the more points are available. When you've answered a question submit it to the following thread to get confirms & get it marked as solved.
When somebody answers one of your posts correctly you can accept the answer yourself, except if you're Level 1.
In that case you need somebody else to Confirm the answer first before you can accept it.

Yeah, seems like the counter visually goes up (and the script even tells you that you've voted if you click on it more than once), but the vote is not saved if you reload the page
