Unfortunately, I can't find much about the pic and/or the photographer.
I can trace the pic back to a photographer named Andre Napier, most likely an amateur building his portfolio (not sure about his status). It was titled Couples, and he posted it on a website called photo.net in or prior to June 2004 - and opened it up to critics. You can read other people's opinions about the pic here in an archived page from 2008:
