I have a Question. I've made several PMVs, why are they all getting taken down?
what exactly is allowed? i find clips from pornhub and other sites then make PMVs, they stay up for weeks and then all of a sudden they get taken down, why is this happening? there are so many PMVs on pornhub, what the fuck?

Yeah, sounds like Pornhub has a strike policy like Youtube. You get too many strikes, your account gets closed.
I forgot that you're making PMVs. That's a double-whammy. Both with copyrighted video, and copyrighted audio from separate owners.
I don't know if there is any way to see profiles you were subscribed to after your account was closed. Email Pornhub and ask them.

so this is what happened. i started making PMVs in January. i made 5 of them and uploaded them at the same time. the mentality i had was that heavily edited videos were automatically under fair use. so a month goes by, nothing went wrong. All of a sudden i start getting comments asking who the specific actress was, or what was the song i was using.
in mid feb, i uploaded a couple more knowing that everything was fine, no warnings or anything. in late feb, one of my videos got taken down. it was a PMV with nicki minaj's song, anaconda. so i thought maybe that was why it was taken down.
like 2 days later, another video was taken down. it had a kesha song in it. so i thought it was a specific studio. (keep in mind, the rest of the PMVs contained clips from other studios that werent that well known) so i thought everything was fine.
but then literally 3 days ago, my video with the most views gets deleted, but my account was fine. this morning i woke up and got an email from pornhub saying my account has been disabled. keep in mind all this happened in the span of a week or 2. i dont log in to pornhub a lot cuz im usually busy so i got most of these notifications late.
so my question is, i had subbed to a few profiles in my account, is there a way to see the list of these profiles?

I'll make this simple: anything you see on the large tube sites (Pornhub, XVideos, Spankbang, etc.) that isn't uploaded by an official production studio is technically pirated content.
It can be removed at any time if the copyright owners submit a DMCA takedown request and the admins follow up on that.
The fair use doctrine is not something that you argue online - it's very dependent on the specific circumstances in which it is being invoked. Typically, these things are decided in courts on a case-by-base basis.
See my point? If you want to make PMVs, do it and save them locally. If you share them online (without explicit permission from the copyright holders), you open yourself up to the possibility of having it removed.

so my question is, are PMVs not allowed completely, or is there a workaround, like if it falls under fair use, and of thats the case, what are the rules?
All the more proof that you aren't being targeted specifically, if only a portion of your videos were taken down.
As I said, copyright owners employ companies that specialize in this sort of stuff. It's also possible that Pornhub has automated detection algorithms (similar to Youtube) and something on your videos triggers them.

im just curious how they are picking and choosing which ones to delete, i had uploaded like 7 total pmvs, 3 of them got taken down, why not take all of them down?
How do you know yours are the only ones being taken down? Chances are, companies that specialize in this sort of thing send mass requests that cover a large chunk of copyrighted content and your videos are caught up in that list.
As to why other specific users don't get their content removed, your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps they get lucky.
Re: your comment about Youtube channels. This is still, technically, using copyrighted material. The difference is, it typically falls under fair-use clauses because the channels are using clips/images to provide commentary/criticism or make a parody out of the material. This is a complicated area, and it isn't black and white, by any means.
You'll also see that larger channels that represent organizations rarely ever use actual clips from the source. There's just too much risk in having the film studios initiate takedown requests and get strikes on your channel when it has such a large viewer base (and is likely a substantial source of revenue). You may see posters, or some publicly released images - but rarely clips.
Anyway, tl;dr you're getting flagged (either by a takedown request company, or Pornhub's automatic filters). If you want to confirm it, talk to Pornhub's staff. You can also try using another service if you want.

but here is the thing... here are millions of PMVs out there. why are mine the only ones being taken down? there are PMVs that have been on pornhub for years with millions of views, my most popular one only had like 17k.
some PMV makers like Gemcutter, i think. he got recognized and is now making exclusive compilations for James Deen. im not even making money from them. i dont get it.
think of it like youtube, there are so many channels that do movie reviews, using clips from the movie that werent in the trailer, none of them get their videos taken down. am i doing something different?

I mean... you are technically pirating copyrighted content and posting it online without permission.
Chances are the copyright owners sent DMCA takedown requests to Pornhub and your videos were removed. Perhaps they were getting lots of views, hence they came to the attention of the copyright owners (or people they contract for this stuff).
