newbie guide faq how to

A discussion about modifying or replacing existing instructions on the site.

I would like to propose a discussion of some revisions to the site instructions. There are many questions that come up over and over. That points lazy users who refused to read and/or confusing or inadequate instructions.

What I would propose is a series of threads in which users that would discuss individual FAQs. For example, a thread might develop a new instruction on how to post a question. There are several nuances in that process, like how to post a thread vs a question.

I would suggest we post one or two threads a month rather than 20 at once to avoid unending discussion. When there was a concensus the mods could review it and post it in the FAQ or a new noob guide.

Some more thoughts.

I think an FAQ format would be better than the current format. We know the answers are there but we live in a tldr society.

I would put the answers in the order they are likely come up. So how to post a question would be first.

I would suggest working with the mods. I tried to write a how to answer a question but it is made harder by the limitations of a post. For example, inability to show square brackets or what a correctly formatted name looks like. It would be easier if we could develop a tutorial in word or google docs the have the mods publish it.

I have considered try to rewrite the noob guide but it is a waste of time if it is going to be used.

Thanks for the input. My objective here is not to rewrite the site rules. My goal is to provide better answers to those that want to use the site as intended.

I can't tell you how many times I have tried to tell people to put square brackets around porn star names.

The things are the following:

1. The day to day site users don't give a rats ass about rules. Some of them know English at a below level of understanding, so let's not have either a minimum hope of improving quite fast.

2. The site still experiences bugs and glitches, at least from my side, maybe my browsers are the problem. If I do an error, doesn't matter how small or big, might be from my browsers. So far Microsoft Edge works the best for me, from spelling and grammar to security issues.

3. I agree, when posting questions, I fully support making it a little hard. I don't mind the same question and/or pictures from many users, but I have huge headaches when the same user floods the site with the same question, especially on the same day.

4. I really encourage the site to randomly pick users and test some bare minimum English skills. With the risk to sound condescending and bad, I am aware many are not considering the persons from the content, like, leaks from vengeful or malicious partners, either highly litigious risks, either normal people doing I don't knw, topless sunbathing or whatever.

5. When responding, I propose the following: if the proofs are more than enough in the name tag of the model/actress/whatever, lets have this as exception from the rule. I mean, just the name tag if created and visual indicators give her, him or them away, it's good. But I also propose, to check the links we give as proof and references. There are lots of dead/deactivate/removed contents from links, I get it with time and in time copyright and gdpr is our own worst enemy, but that's the digital life. But please, until we post the links, lets properly dig and check it out. Or, I suggest we flag the vague or the randomly posted responses.

6. Before accepting a response, I would like to see some 2 to 3 steps before fully accepting. why? many OPs barely understand English and accept thousands of wrong answers. Even the auto-moderator is deliberately or not induced into error to accept wrong or half right answers. Let's keep in mind they are accepting answers without properly used tags and
we lose an valuable resolved question for another eventual post.

Those are the issues I identified. Sorry if my writing gives you a headache or questions, I wrote it on the rush
