"initial attraction". See, I think that's the part you're stuck on, because anybody of any gender/sexuality can be "initially attracted" to something else. But my question about the straight identifying male moved passed initial attraction stage, since he found out that the person he was attracted to was indeed trans, and yet he was still attracted. I'm generally curious how many straight men who found F1NN5TER "initially attractive", later found out he was basically just a dude cosplaying as a chick for likes, clicks and views, and still was attracted...and of course still considered themselves straight. I would bet few, if any.

What you're missing is that the identity of the person is kind of irrelevant to initial attraction.
It's about what you find attractive.
You weren't attracted to that dude wholesale (obviously lol), but a particular feature.
I realize that I'm stripping these people of personhood and breaking them into essential objects, but physical attraction is specific. Often we're drawn to particular features.
Also, I'm not saying I want to fuck F1NN5TER (I would totally destroy him in drag, but my sexuality is irrelevant to the discussion), I'm saying he is exceptionally good at certain aspects of female performance You can recognize that he's really good at that performance and acknowledge your attraction to that performance without wanting to fuck him.
And that is truly the crux of it. You aren't attracted to gender identities, you're attracted to gender performances. You're attracted to specifics. Everyone is. Even with straight cis people attraction.
You clicked that video because of something specific. If it later turned out that it wasn't a dude at all but a very butch woman who looked otherwise identical, would your reaction have changed?
Do you see my point, hopefully? The identity is sort of irrelevant to attraction. At least initially.
But I do see where you're coming from when you say that lots of dudes would be repulsed upon finding out that F1NN5TER is a guy. That's a fair objection. However, let me counter by saying: nothing about F1NN5TER has changed. Merely your own perception of him. That repulsion has nothing to do with the presentation of F1NN5TER, but rather their perception of their relationship with sexuality. It's a bit immature, if I'm honest. (I often joke that discussing gender and sexuality with queer people feels like debating with ancient Greek Philosophers, and discussing gender and sexuality with straight dudes feels like tutoring a preschool lol)
So I would challenge the notion of linking identity to attraction. They were still attracted to the specifics of that performance.

Honestly....I would bang the holy hell outta that tree, so I guess I AM a tree sexual, and proud of it, sir lol But back to the 1st case. The difference in your scenario and mines is that F1NN5TER isn't trans at all. He's basically just a dude in a dress. Granted, he may look better in a dress than most dudes, but he's still a dude who identifies as such. So I would imagine that once a straight male finds out that little detail, he will no longer be attracted to him, since who F1NN5TER presents to be isn't who he actually is. It's just a facade. For example, I once was on YT and I saw the thumbnail of a closeup of a woman's curvy ass bent over. I said "YES PLEASE" and clicked it on immediately, only to see that once the vid zoomed out, I wasn't looking at a curvy woman at all, but a dude with buttpads. I then proceeded to projectile vomit for the next 17-20 mins.

Lol, no. That's not a new case, that's just case 1. The thing he's attracted to are feminine features.
Again, like I said, a case could be made for him identifying as bi (or just queer), but I think straight still fits.
Let's take a completely different tack here to show you what I mean:
Take a look at this picture
Is it sexy? Are you attracted to it's features? Why?
It is very much NOT a woman. Are you suddenly not straight? Are you some kind of tree sexual?
Obviously not. You're not turned on by tree bark, you like the essence of femininity.
How about this?
This is also not a woman. It is a lump of bronze. If you think this is sexy, are you some kind of metal-phile?
Again, obviously not. Same thing.
The substrate of the feminine properties is irrelevant to your attraction to them.
Now what about her?
https://www.erome.com/a/wcesPP3Z
This is a woman. She is also trans. She was assigned male at birth and used to have a penis. But much like the tree trunk or the lump of bronze, she was molded into a new feminine form. The substrate of the feminine properties is irrelevant to your attraction to them.
Now, if she still had her penis, does that make you a "total bottom gay boi?" No, not unless her penis is the sole object of your attraction. She didn't attract you with her masculine traits, she did so with her feminine traits.
This is no different from the case with F1NN5TER. If after finding out he's a man, you're still like, "ok, but white boy can get it" that doesn't necessarily make you gay, or bi even.
If the things that attract you are feminine traits, you are probably straight.
But maybe not! People are complicated. Hope this helps.

Well let me introduce a 3rd case. A straight identifying man sees a beautiful woman and is attracted to her. He then later finds out that she's trans, but he still finds her just as beautiful. He's a total bottom gay boi, right? lol

This may be unsatisfying as an answer, but it depends.
Let's look at two cases to illustrate my point. I'm going to dodge the issue of transness and identify initially to focus on the essentials of the argument. But I'll come back to it.
Case 1: twitch streamer F1NN5TER is not a trans person. He's a man that cross dresses. Arguably, he cross dresses very convincingly and looks like a cute girl. Let's say a straight man saw some of his photos without context and thought he was hot.
In this case, the thing you were attracted to was performative femininity. (In plain English: you liked the girly features and the tits)
This doesn't make you "secretly gay" any more than looking at hentai porn drawn by a man. It's a performance of femininity being produced by a man. The thing you are attracted to is feminine traits. That's pretty straight bro.
Case 2: F1NN5TER takes off the makeup and fake tits and put on his normal clothes. If you are still attracted to him, I would argue that you're not straight.
The thing you are attracted to in this scenario are masculine traits That's pretty gay, my dude.
Now I only half answered your question by focusing on a cis guy that cross dresses but still very much identifies as a man. But notice, whether or not he was trans actually didn't matter for the argument!
Even if F1NN5TER one day decides, "you know what actually I do identify as a woman", my arguments still hold! (It's almost like I structured my response with that idea in mind lol)
The important quality is what specifically about that person you find attractive. If it's masculine traits, then you're likely gay, if it's feminine traits you're likely straight. (I know I'm hedging my bets by saying "likely" but reality is messy and complex so broad strokes are usually inaccurate. Example: a lesbian that finds David Bowie attractive)
You could argue it's some flavor of bisexual, and I don't necessarily disagree, but I much prefer the more agnostic label of just "queer."

You seem to know a lot about sexuality and orientations. Let me ask you this, in your opinion can a straight male be attracted to a trans woman?

Are you attracted to men? Do you want to fuck or be fucked by a man? If yes, then you are bi or gay. If no, then by the literal definition, you're not gay.
Pegging is irrelevant to the discussion entirely. Liking butt stuff has nothing to do with wanting to fuck a man.
Here are 4 facts that may help:
1. Not all gay men like butt stuff.
2. Plenty of straight men do like butt stuff
3. Bi men do not necessarily like butt stuff
4. It almost seems obvious to say but I will anyway: everyone likes different shit.
I'd berate you for the lack of basic logic skills, but people in general are pretty uptight about this kind of thing and don't allow themselves any critical thinking on "taboo" subjects. So a quick lesson in formal logic:
Let me present your question in terms of logical operations but slightly rephrased:
Many balloons are red.
I have a balloon.
Is my balloon red?
This is obviously a false conclusion. It might be, it might not be. We need more information.
Now, this has the exact same logical structure as:
Many gay men like butt stuff.
I like butt stuff.
Am I a gay man?
These are formally identical questions in terms of logic, but most people fail miserably because they have no critical thinking skills when it comes to any sensitive topic.
The word you're looking for is kinky, not gay.

Well it's hard to imagine anything done sexually between a male and a female could be considered "gay", but whether or not the guy could be bi depends on the guy. However, I would say that a guy who enjoys getting pegged would be more open to that sort of thing more than a guy who doesn't.
